Summary: Greater Humboldt Expectations Action Team, 11/06/06

The bulk of the meeting was devoted to crafting a structure for facilitating the campus input conversations, and we decided to produce a fairly detailed “script” (attached) in order to foster a consistent process across the various groups.

We also discussed the previous decision to try keeping the number of outcomes to 5-6 during the outcomes-comparison part of the conversation (by asking which outcome to remove when a group wanted to add one), and decided instead to collect as many possible outcomes as a group wanted to provide.

The decision of the group regarding additional meetings while these conversations were ongoing was to suspend our group meetings in order to maximize the time we would be available. Also, rather than trying to compare “availability times,” we would simply send out a message requesting facilitators for the specific timeslots once an invitation was received.
